Decorative Stone Plinth in Kavarna

Facade Rescue: Complete replacement of the plinth with decorative stone in Kavarna

The plinth is one of the most important parts of any building – it not only provides a finished aesthetic appearance but also protects the foundation of the facade from moisture, snow, and mechanical damage. Unfortunately, when materials are not chosen correctly or the installation technology is not followed, the results are not long in coming.

An owner of a beautiful house in the town of Kavarna faced such a problem. The old plinth tiles had been installed incorrectly in the past, resulting in a compromised bond with the base, and they had started to fall off. The client sought out the Balchik Build team for a durable, high-quality, and beautiful solution.

How we solved the problem: From demolition to finish
To ensure that the new plinth would withstand harsh maritime conditions and temperature fluctuations, we took an uncompromising approach to the preparation of 50 linear meters.

Demolition and clearing: The first step was to completely remove the old, unstable cladding. We chipped away all remains of the old tiles and adhesive down to a solid base, then collected and hauled away the construction waste.

Solid foundation (Reinforcement): To ensure perfect adhesion of the new materials, we strengthened the base by installing reinforcing metal mesh along the entire length of the plinth. This is a key stage that prevents future peeling with heavy external cladding.

Installation of decorative stone: After the base was excellently prepared, we proceeded to glue the new decorative stone. The chosen model in light tones creates a beautiful contrast with the red and yellow elements of the facade, giving the house a Mediterranean look.

Shaping the details: We paid special attention to the finishing profiles and the corners around the beautiful arched windows and the veranda to achieve a flawless line.
