Sometimes a home doesn’t need a full renovation, but just one strong accent that completely changes the atmosphere. In this project, the “Balchik Build” team transformed a standard, ordinary wall of 7 square meters, turning it into an impressive focal point of the room through the installation of decorative stone.
This is an excellent example of how, with the right materials and expert execution, any space can gain coziness, character, and a luxurious look.
Laying stone cladding looks like putting together a beautiful puzzle, but behind the aesthetics lies serious technical preparation. To ensure that the wall will be not only beautiful but also eternal, we went through the following stages:
Preparation and reinforcement of the base: Unlike standard gluing, we took an uncompromising approach here. We installed a sturdy metal mesh to the wall. It serves as reinforcement that carries the weight of the stone and ensures a maximum strong bond with the adhesive, preventing future peeling.
Precise installation of the stone: The decorative stone used has different formats (sizes), which creates a beautiful, dynamic 3D effect. Our craftsmen carefully selected and matched every single element, using spacers for perfectly straight lines and uniform joints.
Shaping around doors and sockets: We integrated the cladding perfectly around the interior door frame and electrical switches to achieve a finished and clean look.
Final touches and lighting: The true beauty of the relief stone stands out best with light. After grouting and cleaning, the final result was highlighted with directional lighting (spotlights), which creates an incredible play of shadows and a cozy atmosphere.
The Result
The 7 sq.m. wall is no longer just a partition, but a true work of art that brings warmth and individuality to the interior. This type of cladding is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, or an accent behind the TV.
