Buying a new apartment under BDS (plaster and screed) is an exciting moment, but the real work only begins after that. To turn bare walls and concrete floors into a cozy home, an experienced team is needed to coordinate and execute all finishing processes with precision.
We present to you one of our latest large-scale projects – a complete interior renovation and finishing of an apartment in the city of Varna.
What did the project include?
The work covered absolutely all rooms in the home – bedrooms, a spacious living room, hallway, bathroom, and utility room. To achieve the perfect final result, we went through the following main stages:
1. Perfectly smooth walls and ceilings
The foundation for any beautiful interior is straight and smooth walls. For an area of over 160 sq.m. (living room, bedrooms, and hallway), we applied a two-layer fine plaster (Sheetrock), followed by machine sanding, priming, and precision painting. The ceilings also received full treatment to reflect light flawlessly.
2. Bathroom and utility room: Uncompromising waterproofing
Wet rooms require special attention.
In the bathroom: We built a special plasterboard construction to hide the pipes and integrate the built-in toilet structure. Before laying the tiles, we installed waterproofing tape along all internal corners and applied a watertight flexible waterproofing membrane over the entire surface area of the walls and floor. We finished with an elegant suspended plasterboard ceiling.
In the utility room: We leveled the walls with plaster, skim-coated and painted them, and installed floor tiles with baseboards.
3. Elegant details: Vratsa stone
To give a sense of luxury and timelessness to the interior, we installed windowsills made of natural Vratsa stone. This material is extremely durable, beautiful, and brings a piece of nature directly into the home.
